Katia Elizarova (sometimes credited as Katya Elizarova,[1] born Ekaterina Elizarova on August 17, 1986 in Saratov, Soviet Union) is a Russian model.

Katia Elizarova was born in Saratov, Soviet Union. Her father and mother are both of Russian origin. She attended No.1 School in Saratov before moving to Moscow to study Law at Moscow State University, she also studied Law at Queen Mary, University of London graduating in 2009.[2]
At the age of 14, Elizarova was spotted on the street in her home town by the modelling scout Guia Jikidze (who also discovered Natalia Vodianova, Eugenia Volodina, Irina Shayk, Elena Melnik, and Polina Kouklina).[3] He recommended that she become a model, after which she quickly went on to shoot the cover of Jalouse and star in a number of Russian television commercials and campaigns for brands including Pepsi, Kirin, La Foret and Sok Dobriy.
By the age of 15, despite continuing with her studies, Elizarova was already working for extended periods in London, Paris, Milan and Tokyo. Some of her early work included commercials for Pepsi and working with Versace, Valentino, and Preen.[4]
Described as "a radiant young woman who embodies modern femininity and style to perfection"[5][6], Elizarova became a full-time model only when she successfully graduated University in 2009. Despite this, by the time she moved to London to begin studying Law at Queen Mary, University of London in 2006, she had already worked with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry and achieved success as an editorial, advertising and runway model.[7] Clients and photographers Elizarova has worked with include Ellen Von Unwerth, Rankin, Kim Knott, Commes des Garcons, Guy Laroche, Kirin, Laforet, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Valentino, Versace, Ines Valentinitsch, Etienne Aigner, Karen Walker, Preen, Jasper Conran, Dsquared, Ghost, Avon, Shu Uemura, Swarovski, New Look, Miss Selfridge, Fornarina, Victoria's Secret, Made by Niki, Babyliss, Trevor Sorbie, L'Oréal, and Wella. As an actress, Elizarova appeared in the popular Russian music video of the noughties Russian: Небо by Дискотеки Аварии ("Sky" by Diskoteka Avariya), in which she played both narrator and female lead.[9] The production went on to win best video at the second annual Russian: Муз-ТВ Muz-TV (Music TV) awards.[10]
Recent campaigns include Esprit, Triumph, GHD, Toni & Guy, and launching George Davies' luxury fashion brand GIVe. She has also appeared on the cover of Fabulous Magazine, GQ-Guide to the Ultimate Night Out, S Magazine and had features in InStyle Magazine, Marie Claire, T3 and Sky Showbiz.[4][7][11][12]
In early 2011, Elizarova shot a television campaign for Rimmel London along side Hollywood actress Zooey Deschanel that will appear on screens throughout 2011.[7]. In August of the same year she signed with IMG Models, who also represent Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Gemma Ward, Freja Beha, Ann Ward, Lara Stone and Lily Cole.[13][14][15]
In November 2011, Elizarova was hired by $1bn US fashion company Max Studio as the brand's new face and ambassador.[3][16] She will appear in global advertising campaigns, open runway shows and appear a numerous high-profile events for the fashion house. Elizarova is the brand's first ambassador and also replaces past faces of the brand Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Lily Cole.[17][18][19]
Elizarova supports establishing rights for those working in the fashion industry, from models themselves to factory workers. In 2009, she addressed the Oxford Union on the world of modelling, its pitfalls, rewards, and in particular health issues.[7]
Elizarova lives in London and Moscow and has a sister, Alisa.
